Lotte Wakkie, MSc Medicine, completed her medical studies in 2016 in Utrecht. Afterwards she worked as a rehabilitation physician (oncology & pulmonology) in Switzerland and continued her clinical work in the Netherlands as a physician in Surgery, Emergency Medicine and finally General Practice / Family Medicine. In 2023 she completed the diving physician training (Medical Examiner of Divers). Lotte is not only a physician, she is also a diver. In both the colder waters off the European coasts, where she completed her diving training, as well as the warmer tropical oceans, she enjoys the beauty and calm of the underwater world. Today she combines her passion for medicine, her knowledge of (sport)physiology and her love for diving by providing dive-medical advice to both unexperienced and advanced divers.
